"Today many people believe that it is impossible to love another person “forever.” “This fear of ‘forever’ is cured by entrusting oneself day by day to the Lord Jesus in a life that becomes a daily spiritual path of common growth, step by step. Because ‘forever’ is not simply a questions of duration! A marriage does not succeed just because it last; its quality is also important....
Living together as a couple is “an art, a patient, beautiful and fascinating journey . . . which can be summarized in three words: please, thank you and sorry.” - Pope Francis
The Third Option
Every marriage hits rough patches and the couples need a way to fully restore their relationship. The Third Option is a program in the Diocese of Des Moines that walks couples through 14 skills-based workshops, helping them to grow in everything from understanding anger, cultivating respect, stopping a hurt spiral, understanding personality differences, restoring trust, and much more. This program is for all couples whether they are facing obstacles in their marriage or just trying to make a good thing better!
The Third Option will meet every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at Mercy College of Health Sciences in the Sullivan Center conference room. The workshop is held from 7-9 p.m. For more information, you can find contact information at https://www.dmdiocese.org/ministries-and-faith-formation/marriage-and-family-life/the-third-option
