Jesus spent most of His time relating to people intimately and powerfully. He healed, loved and liberated. He chose to remain with us always -- spiritually present in many ways and physically present in the fullness of his risen & glorified humanity in the Eucharist -- so that each of us might experience His healing love today just the same. He longs for you to know His heart for you, and he wants you to share yours in an ongoing and ever deepening relationship. He wants to share His life with you! In simplest terms, his invitation to each of us is: "Come unto me" (Matthew 11:28).
Pope Francis encourages us:
"Jesus Christ loves you; He gave his life to save you; and now He is living at your side every day to enlighten, strengthen and free you...
Let the risen Jesus enter your life, welcome him as a friend, with trust: He is life! If up till now you have kept him at a distance, step forward. He will receive you with open arms. If you have been indifferent, take a risk: you won’t be disappointed. If following him seems difficult, don’t be afraid, trust him, be confident that he is close to you, he is with you and he will give you the peace you are looking for and the strength to live as he would have you do."
The four pillars guide us in taking intentional next steps on our ongoing & ever deepening journey with Jesus.
Think of it as a cycle, not a checklist.
