Join us as we enjoy a snack and read a Catholic storybook together! Some days will even feature games and songs. This event is free to attend – just drop by! We meet every Wednesday morning at 9:30 on the patio (behind the mansion). This begins June 8 and runs through August 10. In case of rain, we will meet in the Fireplace Room.
Join us June 22, July 20, and August 10 at 6:30 on the patio at St. Mary’s for prayer, refreshments, and fellowship! We will pray the evening prayer called Vespers and then just enjoy each other’s company. All are welcome. Feel free to bring a friend!! Brought to you by Growing Our Faith committee.
In the newsletter, you can read and learn about: 1) God desires us to be happy in heaven with Him – forever! While He knows nothing less than the joy and glory of heaven will completely satisfy us, He waits for our free “yes” to Him, every day. Our main article on page one outlines concrete ways to live out our “Yes” to God and cooperate with His grace; 2) Even for Catholics, the remembering who’s who among the clergy can get a little confusing: why are there different “types” of clerical offices? What is the polite address for a bishop? Our Why Do Catholics Do That? feature can help clear up any clerical confusion readers may have; and 3) In our “From Scripture” meditation, Jesus outlines for his followers the requirements of a disciple: it’s really a matter of putting “first things first". No earthly good can come before following God’s will for us, but be not afraid: God is generous, and our reward will be greater than anything we give up.
Browse the many categories of books and media online or on the digital catalog in the upstairs of the mansion. Look for the library catalog link under "Deepen Your Faith" on the parish website. Check a book out directly from the library or feel free to sit and read while you're there!
