Activities at Home (Choose any 3+):
This month, recommendations for activities are based on which aspect of social justice you would like to cover with your family:
Peace in the First Society (p. 242) -- Choose if you want to talk about the idea of family as the basic unit of society and reflect on sacred art with your family
The Common Good (p. 245) -- Choose if you would like to talk about the common good in your own family and society (The common good is making sure all people can reach their full potential)
Human Dignity (p. 247) -- Choose if you would like to run through "what if" questions to help show your kids all deserve equal rights no matter their race, disabilities, and so on
Human Solidarity (p. 249) -- Choose if you want to talk abou the idea of how we are all parts of the body of Christ with our own unique roles. There is also an optional BONUS ACTIVITY to choose if your family is musically inclined or has any children learning piano
Catholic Social Teaching (p. 252) -- Choose if you have older children and really want to dive into the specific responsibilities of social justice as Christians
Grant Us Peace (p. 256) -- Choose if you want to talk about what peace is and how we can attain peace, along with a prayer for peace
Saint of the Month - St. Mark (p. 257) -- Choose if you want to talk about the Gospel writer, St. Mark!
