What is Alpha?
Alpha is not a course, but an experience!
Coming together every other Tuesday starting January 9, 2024, to April 30, 2024, people from our Parish explore the big questions in a friendly, open, and non-judgmental environment. Alpha typically takes place in the Parish Hall. Plenty of care goes into creating a comfortable and welcoming space, open to all. But no matter where Alpha takes place, the format is the same. We begin by sharing a light meal. After eating together, we listen to a talk or video and gather in small groups for discussion. There is also a Saturday retreat on the Holy Spirit midway through the experience. This is the first time for Alpha at St. Mary of Nazareth, but not the last. Alpha is an experience we hope that everyone can share as we build community and open our doors to our neighbors. Give Alpha a try – no obligation, but we think you will love it! If you decide it isn't for you, no one will contact you to coerce you to come back.
In the event weather causes a cancellation, the session will not be rescheduled.

Child care can be provided, if needed.

Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone and anyone! The beauty of Alpha is that there are no questions that are too serious, too silly, too tough, or too simple. Alpha has no prerequisites whatsoever.
